Introduction
Flurp provides advanced protection against social engineering threats. This guide outlines the installation steps for the Flurp Full Agent with the Advanced Browser Plugin and highlights options for deploying Flurp Lite where appropriate.
Flurp Installation Options
Before you begin:
Determine the appropriate version and deployment method for your environment.
- Flurp Full Agent
- Advanced security for full/thick versions of Outlook, Teams, and Zoom
- Available for Microsoft Windows only
- Flurp Lite (Browser Plug-in/Extension)
- Supports Chrome/Edge browser-based apps: Outlook (OWA), Teams, Gmail, Meet
- Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux
If you require the browser extension only:
See Installing the Flurp Lite Plug-in.
User Deployment: Manual or Automated
Choose installation method based on your organization’s needs:
- Manual Installation
For fewer than 10 users; install individually. - Automated Installation
For larger environments.
- Administrative Rights Required:
- Google Admin for G-suite
- Entra Global Admin or Active Directory Domain Admin for Microsoft 365
- Administrative Tasks:
- Install Integrated App for Outlook (full version)
- Configure a Global OAuth token
- Bulk install via PowerShell scripts
Installation Steps
1. Temporarily Disable Endpoint Protection
Some antivirus or EDR solutions may block the installation. Temporarily disable or allow-list as needed.
Example: If using CrowdStrike Falcon, ensure “NetarxService.exe” is in the allow-list before proceeding.
2. Download the Flurp Installer
- Go to the Netarx Download Page
- Download the installer suitable for your system (Windows or Mac)
3. Install the Application
- Run the downloaded NetarxService.exe file.

4. Complete Installation Prompts
- Enter your First Name, Last Name, and Email when prompted.
- Example:
-
- First Name: Jane
- Last Name: Smith
- Email: jane.smith@company.com
5. Verify Your Email
- After installation, open your email in Chrome or Edge — preferably Outlook Web or Gmail.
- Find the Netarx verification email and click the link to proceed.
Important: Check your junk or spam folder if you do not see the verification email. Some anti-phishing filters can delay delivery up to 15 minutes.
6. Set Up OAuth Token
- Clicking the verification link opens a browser prompt to add an OAuth token.
- If the plug-in is not fully installed when you verify:
Close all browser windows, relaunch, and use the verification link again.
7. Configure OAuth Token
You can choose between two methods:
- Individual OAuth Token
- Go to “My Accounts” and use your organization email—the same as in installation.
- You may need admin permission to add the token.
- Global OAuth Token (Administrators)
- In the Netarx Flurp Dashboard, add the Global OAuth Token to the Admin / Organization Settings area.
8. Confirm Flurp Activation
- Open Gmail or Outlook Web Access in your browser.
- You should see the Flurp widget or interface on the screen’s right side.

Troubleshooting & Tips
- Issue: Did not receive verification email
Solution: Check junk/spam folder; wait 10–15 minutes. - Issue: OAuth token step fails
Solution: Ensure all browser windows are closed, relaunch browser, and click the verification link again. - Issue: Security software blocks installation

- Support: If you encounter persistent issues, contact your IT administrator or Netarx support.
