What data are you storing and how is it secured?

Since we ingest data from a multitude of sources of communication it is often a concern about what data do we review and store.

We do not review and/or store any email, voice or video content. What we focus on is the metadata. For example, in email, we review the email header information for detail such as the IP address, the domain name, the email security (DKIM, SPF, Dmarc).

All of this metadata is encrypted in motion. We use state-of-the-art blockchain technology to confirm who may access our service and then we encrypt all communication with the TLS 1.2 encryption.

The storage of this metadata is encrypted at rest using Microsoft Azure SQL. In addition to this encryption, we employ a multitude of additional security measures including but not limited to firewalls, EDR, XDR, etc.

Furthermore to help ensure that all of these controls are followed and regularly tested for security we have had a SOC2 compliance audit from Sensiba as well as CASA from TAC Security and we use Vanta to help monitor this compliance.

An important thing to note is that many companies employ email security solutions, such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, or Abnormal. Those solutions are ingesting all of your email content, not just the headers. So in practice we have much less data than these other solutions.

Lastly, we have projects in development that would store and analyze a small segment of voice or video as required by corporations needing the highest level of security but these functions are only available in our marketplace and you would need to opt-into in to use them.
