MSP Deployment Guide

Prerequisites

  • Your email domain must have MSP permissions assigned by your Netarx representative.
  • You should have Global Admin or Legacy Domain Administrator rights, or coordinate with your organization’s Global Admin.
  • Access to the required resources and setup guides.

 

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Confirm MSP Permissions

Important:
Before proceeding, verify with your Netarx representative that your email domain has MSP permissions. This ensures you can manage client organizations effectively.

 

Step 2: Verify Admin Rights

Ensure you have Global Admin or Legacy Domain Administrator rights in order to add the OAuth token.
Tip: If you do not have these rights, request a link from Netarx to share with your Global Admin. The Global Admin can use this link to grant the Flurp the necessary permissions.

 

Step 3: Install the First Flurp

As an MSP, you must install your first Flurp on a device to establish yourself as the initial administrator.

Step 4: Add Integrated App for Outlook

Integrate Flurp with the thick installed version of Outlook in Microsoft 365.

Step 5: Create Client Organizations

For each client under your management, create a separate organization within the Netarx system. This enables individual policy management and user administration.

 

Step 6: Deploy Users for Client Organizations

Determine the deployment method based on your client's needs:

  • Manual User Addition: Best suited for organizations with fewer than 10 users.
  • Bulk User Deployment Tool: Efficient for larger organizations.

Instructions for Bulk Deployment:

  1. Click the Flurp icon within your email interface.
  2. Click the sprocket (settings) icon.
  3. On the right side, select Admin / Bulk Deployment on the Dashboard.

 

Troubleshooting Tips

  • OAuth Token Issues:
    • Problem: Unable to add the OAuth token due to lack of admin rights.
      Solution: Coordinate with your Global Admin to grant necessary permissions or use the admin link provided by Netarx.
  • Deployment Tool Access:
    • Problem: Bulk Deployment option does not appear.
      Solution: Ensure MSP permissions are active and you are using an administrator account.
  • Integrated App Installation:
    • Problem: Outlook integration cannot be completed.
      Solution: Verify admin privileges, and ensure you follow the integration guide closely.

 

Summary Checklist

  • Confirm your domain has MSP permissions.

  • Install Flurp on a device to establish the administrator account.
