Installing the Flurp (our Agent)
- The first decision is decide if you are going to install the Flurp as a full agent or just as a browser plug-in/extension. The full agent is more secure and works with the Full/Thick versions of Outlook, Teams and Zoom but it is only for Microsoft Windows. Alternatively, if you wish to use the Flurp on Linux or Mac we have a Plugin version but it only works with browser based apps like:Outlook (OWA), Teams, Gmail and Meet.

- The second decision is to decide if you are going to install users manually as part of small organization less than 10 users or automate the installation. If you plan on automating the installation make sure that you are the administrator of your organization - if you use G-suite then we need the Google Admin and if you use Microsoft 365 then we need the Entra Global Admin or Active Directory Domain Admin. We need the Global Admin to install the Integrated App for Outlook (the installed think version), a Global OAuth token and to do a Bulk install with Powershell scripts.
Step 1. If you are running Microsoft Defender or other Virus Protection / EDR software then you may need to disable those temporarily.
- Here are instructions on how to temporarily turn off Defender: https://ops.netarx.com/knowledge-base/microsoft-defender-troubleshooting

Step 2. Download Flurp to protect your Windows or Mac at the following link:
Step 3. Once downloaded, execute the NetarxService.exe
Step 4. Follow the prompts and enter First Name, Last Name and Email
Step 5. Once you click finish, Open your email in Chrome or Edge (preferably Outlook Web or Gmail) and look for an email that we sent to "verify" your email.
- note: please check you junk folder if you don't see the email in your inbox and note that some anti-phishing email products delay email up to 15 minutes.
Step 6. You will be taken to your browser which should redirect you to add an OAuth token (Occasionally the Flurp Chrome/Edge plugin is not installed completely by the time you verify your email and if you simply close all the browser windows and relaunch the browser and click the “verify” button in your email).
Step 7A. The OAuth token you add in “My Accounts” is an individual OAuth token. Use your primary organization email (which should be the same email you used when installing the Flurp).
Step 7B. Alternatively, on the Netarx Flurp Dashboard you can add a Global OAuth token to the “<Company Name> Admin / Organization Settings” since you are the Global Administrator for the entire organization.
Step 8. Once the OAuth token is installed, you can open your browser-based email (Google) or Outlook Web Access (OWA) and you should see the Flurp on the right side of your screen.
Next you may either:
- Add additional users manually (repeat steps above)
- Use the Bulk User Deployment Tool to deploy to many users in an Organization:
Click on the Flurp on your email and clicking on the sprocket. On the right you should see <Your Company Name> Admin / Bulk Deployment on the Dashboard - Add an Integrated App for Outlook to support the thick installed version of Outlook:
